Several models of Beechcraft and Cessna aircraft will be showcased at FIDAE 2014, the international Exhibition of Air and Space currently going on in Santiago, Chile from March 25-30.

Textron Aviation recently formed the merger of Cessna and Beechcraft and both brands will remain distinct under the Textron Aviation umbrella.

One of the featured planes at the FIDAE 2014 is the Beechcraft King Air 250.  Some of the highlights of the King Air 250:

  • Take off in only 2,111 feet from a sea level airport
  • Max range of 1,610 nautical miles
  • Max cruise speed of up to 310 knots

Flying Magazine recently compared the Pilatus PC-12 against similar aircraft, including the King Air 250 in this article.  The other aircraft used in the comparison include the Daher-Socata TBM 850, Cessna Citation Mustang, Embraer Phenom 100, and the Cessna Citation CJ2+.

Forbes Magazine called the King Air 250 one of the “most successful aircraft designs”.

Here’s a less than 2-minute video of a Beechcraft King Air 250 landing in Narsarsuaq, Greenland (BGBW) – beautiful!

In addition to the King Air 250, Beechcraft will have the G36 Bonanza, AT6 Texan II, Baron G58, King Air 350i, T6C Texan II, as well as T34 Mentor, on display at FIDAE 2014.

9 Cessna models will also appear at the show, including the TTX, Grand Caravan EX, Citation M2, and Citation Sovereign+.
