FAA certification flight testing has began for Raisbeck Engineering’s 5-bladed Composite and 4-bladed Aluminum Swept Blade propeller designs for the King Air 350. The 4-bladed propeller testing will be completed by the end of the month and the 5-bladed propeller will be completed by early November of this year.
Swept-blade technological advancement has been greatly benefited from Raisbeck Engineering and Hartzell Propeller Inc’s working relationship. Efforts have led to an increase in across-the-board performance as well as a decrease in noise generation. The companies noted that they are looking forward to introducing the new Swept Blade Propellers to King Air 350 operators worldwide.
Raisbeck will display both versions of the new 350 props at their booth this year at NBAA. NBAA takes place November 17th-19th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Owners can place orders for the new props at the show with deliveries beginning in January 2016.
