The big news this month in the King Air world has been Garmin announcing the G1000 NXi integrated Flight Deck for King Air 200/300 aircraft. Stevens Aviation Nashville has now announced they signed the first G1000NXi system for the King Air 350. The system will be installed at Steven Aviation’s Nashville location, led by Operations Manager Gary Brown. The team plans to begin installation shortly after receiving the equipment through Garmin in February.
Garmin notes that new installations of the G1000 NXi integrated flight deck provide an estimated weight savings of 250 pounds. The systems features a new air data and attitude heading reference system (ADAHRS). The upgrade also brings G1000 Flight Decks up to today’s requirements/standards.
