Blackhawk Modifications, a key provider of Pratt & Whitney new engine upgrades, recently announced promotions in their senior management team. Bob Kromer will take on the role of Senior Vice President of Business Development and Dealer Relations. This is a newly created position to help develop business opportunities. Edwin Black received a promotion to Senior President of Sales and Marketing.
Kromer, a former flight test engineer, has an expansive history of work in the aviation industry including such companies as Piper and Mooney. He served as Blackhawk’s Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Support for the past year and a half. During this time, he was instrumental in growing Blackhawk’s Pratt & Whitney PT6A New Engine upgrade market for various Turboprop aircraft including King Air and Caravan. Kromer’s new focus will be packaging Blackhawk’s engineering and composite manufacturing services to cater to the aviation industry.

Edwin Black, also has an extended history in the aviation industry. At one time, he was Marketing and Sales Director at Raisbeck Engineering; a provider of many King Air aerodynamic performance systems. A veteran of Blackhawk, has served as Director of Marketing and Global Sales Director. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of Domestic Sales. Black will oversee the global aspects of Marketing and Sales including Blackhawk’s network of over 60 worldwide authorized distributors and installation centers.
