Commuter Air Technology Reintroduces the Popular Light Weight Seat

Commuter Air Technology (CAT) announced that it has re-engineered its popular lightweight seat for the King Air 200 and 300 series of aircraft and modified the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to allow for flexibility in the seating configuration. The seat became popular as part of the CATPass series of modified aircraft, which has been sold both as part of the CATPass and a stand-alone product internationally for many years.

Building upon the successful and popular design of previous models, the new seat remains both lightweight and attractive.  The newly optional arm rest and unique construction provides for a safe and robust seat that is less than half the weight of other seats available on the market.

The newly updated Light Weight Seats offer customers a highly competitive and customizable solution. The expanded and flexible Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) issued by the FAA broadens their availability to the King Air series through an STC, which allows for multiple seat configurations.

Darryl Wilkerson, President of CAT, said,

“Our Commercial Product and Sales team is proud to introduce these popular light weight seats and expand their availability to the King Air 200 and 300 series. These seats, sold widely and internationally, have been well received, and we’re pleased to release this next generation of seating in the portfolio of CAT products.”

CAT representatives will be available at the National Business Aviation Association Conference in Orlando, Florida from October 21-23 to discuss the full suite of CAT products and services.
