Job Description

KAN is seeking skilled and dedicated candidates for the position of Aircraft A&P Mechanic with King Air experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, and maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.


Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions and inspections following applicable technical data and manufacturer specifications with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, internal documentation, and quality standards. Complete inspection records, reports, and forms accurately.
  • Follow maintenance procedures using aircraft tools and equipment, such as electrical, hydraulic power carts, and calibrated tools, in adherence to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technical data, including overhaul manuals, service bulletins, and FAA-approved documentation.
  • Properly handle, preserve, tag, and identify all parts and components during the maintenance process.
  • Ensure no defective or non-airworthy parts are installed in any component or aircraft.
  • Comply with safety policies, use personal protective equipment, and protect aircraft interiors and exteriors during maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  • Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently to meet FAA regulations.
  • Interpret blueprints and engineering documentation accurately.
  • Use standard aircraft mechanics tools and materials, working in small spaces, at heights, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate computers and software, including MS Office, Gmail, and Apple programs.

 

Qualifications

  • FAA-certified Aircraft A&P Mechanic (Required); Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience as an A&P Mechanic.
  • Capable of performing aircraft runs and taxi operations.
  • Ability to train and supervise junior mechanics.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and results-driven.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a goal-oriented mindset.
