Earlier this week, Elliot Aviation made the impressive announcement of the sale of their 200th Garmin G1000. The retrofit is scheduled for March 2016 and will take place in a King Air B200 owned and operated by Teton Aviation L.L.C. out of Jackson Hole, WY. According to Elliott, the company has installed more Garmin G1000’s than all other worldwide dealers combined.
“With upcoming ADS-B mandates, we were faced with making a decision to put a lot of money just to update our current avionics, or to completely upgrade our system,” said Bert Bollar, Chief Pilot of Teton Aviation L.L.C. “It just made sense cost wise and weight wise to go with the G1000. The system not only saves a lot of weight and meets ADS-B mandates, but it comes with the latest autopilot as well.”
The G1000 features state-of-the-art display monitors and a full menu of features designed for safer and more efficient flying. Elliott Aviation began retrofitting King Air’s in 2007, starting with the C90 and has installed systems in King Air C90, 200/B20 and 300/350. Elliott Aviation offers the Garmin G1000 to qualifying King Air customers in a 15 day, $3,000 per day guaranteed downtime. The system saves an average of 250 pounds.
“Teton Aviation L.L.C. has been a long-time customer and partner of Elliott Aviation,” said Conrad Theisen, Director of Avionics Sales for Elliott Aviation. “We are excited to offer them the best available avionics system for their aircraft.”
