In a recent press release, English Field Aviation announced they are currently offering an extensive aircraft detailing package to customers at no charge. Eligibility is extended to any King Air customer who has a phase inspection completed at either of the two EFA locations in Amarillo, Texas.
The press release noted that the goal of the free package was “To further achieve their company mission to exceed the customer’s expectations.” It includes multiple detailing and finishing services. This includes wheel well cleaning, De-Ice Boots treatment, bright work polish, full machine buff and wax, and full interior detail.
“Some shops simply wipe down the interior and exterior of the aircraft before delivery,” said Travis Lamance, Co-Owner & General Manager, EFA. “Our detailing package is far more in-depth and valuable to customers.”
Each step of the detailing service plays a vital role in returning the aircraft to pristine condition. The machine buff/wax cleans and polishes heavily contaminated surfaces to remove heavy oxidation, carbon buildup, oil and fuel stains. This process serves a dual purpose; it restores paint to a “like new” condition and provides a protection layer against dulling, fading and debris buildup. Boots also receive a protection layer from the De-Ice Boot treatment to insure aircraft safety. In addition, the bright work polish completely cleans and polishes bare metal surfaces including spinners, leading edges, engine intakes. The machine buff brings the surfaces to a mirror finish. The interior cleaning is just as thorough; with a deep cleaning of all surfaces, vacuum and wipe down, including leather and vinyl conditioning and minor stain removal.
