Finally, there is an affordable wireless inflight connectivity solution for King Air owners and operators. Exec Jet Mobile will be making their full-debut and launch at NBAA 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 22nd – 24th. Exec Jet Mobile is the exclusive distributor of BizJet Mobile Systems for the Americas. The BizJet Mobile Systems and Application were designed and developed by Mr. Ron Chapman of ASi Group – an industry leader in onboard telecommunications for 25 years. BizJet Mobile Systems are a revolutionary, new generation of Apple technology providing Iridium based bluetooth wireless calling, texting and emailing capabilities for business aviation professionals.

Ron has been in the aviation industry for 39 years and has been the primary developer behind many inflight connectivity solutions for the aviation industry. Including Securaplane, which became the worlds best selling aircraft security system. Ron also developed the worlds first monitored aircraft security, surveillance and communication system launched on a private Boeing 737. Additionally, he developed ACAMS – the first Cabin Crew Satellite Data Link deployed on fleets by Qantas, Swiss Airlines, Deutsche Airbus and Ilyushin. Over the past 10 years, Ron has directed the ASiQnet program and developed the G3CARS program. Most recently, Ron has developed and launched the world’s first bluetooth hotspot designed for the business aviation industry.

KingAirNation Op-Ed

The Iridium based systems have been operating successfully on business jets and turbo-props for 2 years. With constant development and consistent feature advancements. King Air owners and operators can provide their iPhone/iPad wielding passengers and clients with a full, bluetooth wireless texting, emailing and calling solution. These systems are only a fraction of the cost, when compared to other SATCOM or WiFi options. In addition, the systems are an operational tool for pilots who need to stay connected with personnel on the ground. Management and Charter companies can also benefit from the systems as they are able to better compete with new light jets and VLJs that have WiFi installed. Additionally, the system is portable making it easy to switch from aircraft to aircraft.

Overall, we are becoming more connected now, then ever before. The necessity and dependency society has on their cellular phones and tablets is only growing. It will be interesting to see the effect inflight connectivity solutions will have on the aviation industry as a whole, especially within the King Air community – the true workhorses.
