In a press release today, Garmin International and Pratt & Whitney announced new incentives to provide King Air aircraft owners/operators with savings on the G1000 Integrated Flight Deck and qualifying P&WC engine upgrades. King Air 300/350 aircraft customers will receive a free G1000 Integrated Flight Deck upgrade with the purchase of a new pair of PT6A-60A engines via P&WC’s Fleet Enhancement exchange Program. Other eligible engine and avionics upgrades will qualify for savings of up to $105,000. The incentives will be available until January 29th, 2016.
“Pairing together the industry’s most popular engine and avionics upgrades for the King Air provides our customers with an enticing package that exceeds any other incentive for King Air aircraft on the market today,” said Carl Wolf, vice president of aviation marketing and sales. “By incorporating a Garmin Integrated Flight Deck and upgraded P&WC engines, King Air aircraft owners and operators will receive a number of benefits, including enhanced reliability, added utility, greater capability and more – all to an aircraft that is well-known and respected among the industry for its remarkable performance attributes.”
Customers who pursue simultaneous engine and avionics upgrades for their King Air have the opportunity to receive the up to $105,000 savings. Also, customers who have pursued either a G1000 retrofit or select P&WC PT6A engine upgrades within the last calendar year may be eligible for incentives.
The G1000 Integrated Flight Deck retrofit program grants pilots improved situational awareness tools along with support for a wide range of capabilities such as coupled Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS/SBAS) approaches. Garmin notes that the integrated autopilot offers optimized performance throughout the aircraft’s flight envelope. Among a number of safety benefits, the G100 suite also offers LPV/APV approach capability. Also with the G1000 upgrade, aircraft receive a fully integrated, FAA/EASA rule-compliant Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out solution which meet NextGen industry requirements. Total weight savings are up to 200 pounds due to the factory new zero-time avionics.
“We are proud to collaborate with Garmin on this joint promotional offer that enables our PT6A engine customer base to benefit from enhanced value on the iconic King Air product line,” said Denis Parisien, vice president, General Aviation at P&WC.
