Piqua, Ohio, Oct. 8, 2013 – Hartzell Propeller’s two newest higher performing swept-blade propellers for turboprop business aviators will be on exhibit at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) 2013 Convention in Las Vegas, Oct. 22-24.
Hartzell’s engineering and design team has earned type certificate approvals for both its newest swept designs on the DAHER-SOCATA TBM and on the Beechcraft King Air B200 turboprops. Both business turboprops will be on display with their new propellers at Henderson Executive Airport during the convention.
King Air at Raisbeck Static
On display at Henderson will be a Beechcraft King Air 200 featuring four-blade swept aluminum Hartzell props developed for Raisbeck Engineering. The King Air will be at Raisbeck’s static display.
Bringing Latest Propeller Designs to NBAA
“Hartzell is pleased to bring its latest performance-boosting designs to NBAA, where the business aviation community can see firsthand the performance advantages and the dazzling ramp presence of our highly advanced technology on the King Air turboprop,” said Hartzell President Joe Brown.
“Our recent developmental work with the King Air business turboprops demonstrates Hartzell’s commitment to delivering the performance-enhancing benefits of the latest in propeller engineering design and manufacturing knowledge.”
Hartzell experts will also be at the Las Vegas Convention Center Booth # C7630 to discuss the aerodynamics and performance advantages of its structural composite swept-blade design for the aluminum swept-blade design for King Airs.
New C90 Type Certificate for Hartzell Propellers in Process
In addition, Hartzell is teaming with Raisbeck Engineering on a new Hartzell King Air C90 swept-blade turbofan propeller improvement. Hartzell Propeller expects to receive its Federal Aviation Administration type certificate approval for the King Air C90 propeller design by the end of this year, depending on how long the limited government shutdown of FAA certification activities continues. That will be followed by a supplemental type certificate for Raisbeck and then deliveries expected in early 2014.
