KAD Aerospace Inc (KAD) together with Whelen Engineering Company (Whelen), located in Chester, Connecticut, announced this week their new 90777 Hyperion/Orion LED Position/Anti-Collision Light and the new Hyperion/Orion STC for Beechcraft King Air and 1900C aircraft.
The company stated that the new 90777 LED light included: “long-life performance, less weight, 30% brighter, 70% reduction in power consumption, and five year warranty.” The lights will be offered with or without recognition lights and are a form, fit and function drop-in replacement for 100-384118-XX series.
“We are very excited with the Hyperion/Orion Wingtip LED anti-collision/position light and pleased to offer a cost effective solution to many costly ‘bulb changes’, added Ken Blow, Vice President. “Additionally, no more late call-outs and no more broken lenses – this will generate a big cost savings since the need to dig into the wingtip will be virtually eliminated.”
Aircraft application approval includes C90 Series LJ-1063 thru LJ-1846, C90GT Series LJ-1847 and after, F90 all serial numbers, B200 serials BB-1133, BB1141, BB-1145 and after, B200C serial BL-69 thru BL-72, BL-124 and after, B200GT serials BY-001 (w/o Winglets), 1900 serials UA-all, UB-all, UC-all, 300 serials FA-001 and after.
