EagleMed LLC has recently added a medically configured King Air B200 to its new medical transport operation in the Houston, Texas, area. The company flies critical care medical flights throughout south Texas and also plans to fly internationally into Mexico. The aircraft is hangared at David Wayne Hooks Airport in Spring, just outside of the city of Houston.
The Beechcraft King Air B200 is the complete package in air medical transport. With its turbo-prop engines, roomy interiors, pressurized cabin, and advanced avionics the B200 provides exceptional high-speed, all-weather transport. With an ability to cruise at high altitudes of 31,000 feet or above, it can fly above turbulence and avoid inclement weather conditions providing that extra measure of safety and comfort.
According to Beechcraft, they have built more air ambulances than any other manufacturer. Cabins may be fitted with dual medical sleds and cabinetry from all major equipment suppliers. Interior installations are either permanent (medical floor covering and easily cleaned sidewalls) or temporary (easy transition from air ambulance to VIP transport).
EagleMed’s medically configured Beechcraft King Air B200 turboprop, with upgraded Blackhawk engines and a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit with synthetic vision, is capable of instrument flight at a speed of 310 mph and a range of approximately 900 miles round trip.
