Most know that NBAA’s Convention is the world’s largest and most important aviation event dedicated to business aviation and NBAA does a great job at giving thanks to its supporters, members and exhibitors.
The face-to-face interaction at these conferences provides B2B and B2C opportunities that you can’t find anywhere else. After a full Day 2 at NBAA and feedback from many exhibitors, the show has been very steady still. Of course, location is everything, but its great to hear about the deals and connections that are being made. For us, we continued meeting with King Air-related companies to find out what’s new in the market.
Stevens Aviation is one of the leading King Air maintenance providers in the U.S. with locations in Dayton, Denver, Nashville and Greenville. At the show, they announced the ATG2000 STC for the King Air series, which will be available within 5 months. Additionally, they seconded the new relationship with MT Propeller and Finnoff Aviation on the 5-bladed propellers available for the King Air 200 and soon the 90 and 300 series. To celebrate these announcements, Stevens is offering a $25,000 reduction in the G1000 upgrade including the platinum package. Stevens will also fully detail your airplane interior for any maintenance ordered before December 1, 2013 and completed before April 1, 2014. “We are committed to significantly growing the number of performance enhanced King Air’s,” said VP of Sales and Marketing Tom Grunbeck.
True Blue Power, a division of Mid-Continent Instrument Company, is aggressively designing and manufacturing a next generation of power solutions with which many products are available for the King Air. At the show, they exhibited a Dual USB Charging Port (TA102) for the cockpit or cabin with 2.1 amps per port and the ability to charge one or two products simultaneously. MORE Company, which provides an “On Condition” engine monitoring STC for an 8000 hour TBO, is continuing making big changes in the King Air market by…changing nothing. For more than 20 years, MORE has been providing the same engine support and coverage for the King Air. What has changed is that the STC is now on aircraft in almost 50 countries worldwide. At the show, they talked about their new -60 series engines support which is a set of instructions for continued time to be approved on your own individual maintenance program. Continue to keep an eye on KingAirNation.com as more to come on this subject next month.
Luma Technologies, who specializes in lighted displays, cockpit controls and other products for King Air, was promoting their recent release of LUMATECH, a LED option for the King Air C90 and new models. PWI was on the exhibit floor to continue to show their lighting systems for the King Air models. At the show, they introduced a STC LED retrofit for the King Air 200’s, 100’s and 90’s, all in addition to their current retrofit for the 300/350 series aircraft. “We couldn’t be more thrilled with the response we’re receiving here at NBAA,” mentioned Robi Lorik, President.
