New changes are coming to provide pilots with the ability to gather flight specific data via flyGarmin!

The new Garmin Integrated Flight Deck Engine Data Analyzer (EDA) allows turbine-powered aircraft owners and operators to log and analyze engine-specific data with the use of our free application. Available for computers running Windows XP, Vista, or 7, pilots may may visit the Engine Data Analyzer page to download the application.

The Engine Data Analyzer allows pilots to input engine-specific parameters derived from a current Aircraft Flight Manual into a spreadsheet. Using these limitations the EDA will evaluate the data from the aircraft system SD card and display incidents when the aircraft operated outside of the established parameters. In the event these limits have been exceeded, the spreadsheet will perform the required calculation to display the data in the Summary and Exceedance worksheets generated by the EDA. The Summary worksheet offers a broad overview of the flight and contains a list of each parameter that was exceeded, when it occurred, and for how long each limit was exceeded. To further detail each occurrence, all of these parameters will be displayed on the Exceedance worksheet.  This information is generated by order of occurrence and displays data including, start/end time, the parameter exceeded, minimum/maximum value, phase of flight which it occurred, duration, and an exceedance note.

Stay tuned for future updates on flyGarmin as new and exciting updates are released, you can expect to know about them first from Lucy!
