A new cutting edge Paris Service Center was opened by Textron Aviation at Paris-Le Bourget Airport on April 9th, 2015. The new site will service Beechcraft King Air turboprops and Citation business jets. Over 200 guests and customers toured the 156,000-square-foot facility for the grand opening which includes a 42,000 square-foot service bay; twice the size of the bay at the Paris old service center.
“Our customers are excited about our new Paris facility, and with good reason. The new facility is three times larger than the original and offers faster service, easier facility access, and first-class customer areas,” said Brad Thress, senior vice president, Customer Service, “With the combination of Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker under Textron Aviation, and with the increased business aviation activity in Paris, we wanted a larger and more robust center there to match the other facilities across Europe. The feedback from customers has been very positive.”
Cessna’s first service center outside the U.S. was opened in 1997 at Le Bourget. In a short amount of time it became one of the top facilities in the network. The new facility will increase Textron’s Aviation service centers to six total in Europe. One of its noted functions will be to provide a mobile service solution. This will allow direct service at customer’s aircraft’s locations. All six centers have received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification as a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO).
