Rockwell Collins Releases New Pro Line 21 Upgrade Packages

Rockwell Collins announced this week three Pro Line 21™ upgrade packages for King Air turboprops. The company presented the upgrades as giving more flexibility to operators in equipping their aircraft for next-generation airspace and procedures. The upgrades are Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-certified and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)-validated and available now through all Rockwell Collins-authorized dealers.

“If you have Rockwell Collins avionics in your aircraft, when it comes to ADS-B, we have you covered,” said Craig Olson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. “With these convenient new packages, in addition to ADS-B you also gain great FMS features and synthetic vision as part of the same upgrade—and it’s available right now.”

Rockwell Collins tailored the packages for Pro Line 21-equipped King Air aircraft and include automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) Out; synthetic vision; updated flight management system (FMS) with localizer performance and approach procedures with vertical guidance (LPV/APV) and radius-to-fix (RF) legs; and the latest version of the Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS).

Included in the press release was a link to a full breakdown of the packages (found here). Similar Pro Line 21 upgrade packages are in development for numerous other aircraft types, including Hawkers, Premiers and more.

Rockwell Collins also noted that the Pro Line Fusion® 14-inch touchscreen LCD avionics are also an available upgrade.
