King Air C90 Landing Gear

Why is the King Air landing gear required to be inspected every 6-years or 8,000 cycles?

Answer: The Beech King Air Maintenance Manuals are designed to comply with FAR 91.409(f)(3) which states that turbopropeller-powered multiengine airplanes must be inspected in accordance with a current inspection program recommended by the manufacturer or other FAA approved inspection program. The landing gear inspection requirements called out for in the King Air Maintenance Manual are located in Chapter 5, “Special Inspections” which are part of the “Phase” inspection program.
