KingAirNation was in Nashville last weekend to connect with the KingAir community and to support Stevens Aviation with their 31st Annual Golf Classic!
On Friday before the tournament, we met up with the Stevens crew and the good people at Raisbeck Engineering for lunch. It was a great opportunity to talk about KingAirNation as well as to hear stories from their teams. It was very encouraging to hear the passion they had regarding their work.
Stevens Aviation had a hangar full of KingAir’s, including the C90 that was hit by the Gulfstream recently. In case you haven’t heard, a Gulfstream was being tugged on the ramp a few weeks ago and one of the arms on the tug broke. This sent the Gulfstream rolling directly into this beautifully equipped Raisbeck and Blackhawk C90! If there was any good news to the story, it’s that the C90 sits in good hands with Stevens Aviation. We can’t wait for before and after photos on this one!
Caitlin O’Keefe and Randy Groom with Raisbeck Engineering took some time to speak on their performance enhancements to the Steven’s crew. They touched on most of their systems including their Quiet Turbofan Propellers and how they help decrease noise, Ram Air Recovery System which helps give the engine additional horsepower (installed standard at HBC on the KA250’s), and Enhanced Performance Leading Edges which assists in lowering drag. They also spoke about Wing Lockers for additional storage (installed standard at HBC on the KA350’s) and Dual Aft Body Strakes (Raisbeck’s most highly demanded product currently) which assists with lowering drag, noise, and vibration reduction. Ultimately, lowering drag and improving performance is what the Raisbeck systems are all about. The number of customers and vendors that attended the event was a great success and KingAirNation was very proud to help sponsor the event.
We were able to speak with various owners, operators, and AMT’s about the new site. Everyone we spoke with was excited about the direction of KingAirNation.com and showed interest in contributing to the site.
