Textron Aviation plans on attending the International Paris Air show, June 15-18, at Le Bourget Parc des Expositions. They will go along with the following Textron Inc. businesses: Bell Helicopter, Textron Systems, Textron AirLand and Tru Simulation + Training.
“The Paris Air Show is one of the world’s great venues for aviation and defense solutions, and possibly the only forum large enough to present the diversity of our products,” said Scott Donnelly, Textron’s president and CEO. “Textron is bringing several premier brands into one location. Whether your interest is in advanced rotorcraft, tactical turboprop and jet aircraft, precision weapons, unmanned aircraft, or simulation and training-this is the most comprehensive exhibit we have ever delivered to an international air show.”
Textron Aviation and its Beechcraft Defense Company plan to showcase their defense and special missions capabilities. Front and center will be the Beechcraft AT-6, a multi-role, multi-mission aircraft system designed to address the needs of light attack missions. The AT-6 has state-of-the-art equipment; including a Pratt and Whitney PT6A-68D engine, CMC Esterline’s mission modified Cockpit 4000, Lockheed Martin’s A-10C-based mission system and L-3 WESCAM’s MX-15Di sensor suite.
To show their wide array of special mission capabilities, Textron Aviation will also display a King Air 350ER, Grand Caravan EX and Baron G58 ISR. The entire product range of Beechcraft and Cessna aircraft, from piston-engine aircraft to the largest Citation jets, are available in special mission configurations. These configurations are used to address the needs of air ambulances, flight inspections, aerial surveillance, training and utility transports.
The International Paris Air Show is split between a trade show the first four days and a public air show for the last three days. It will have 2,260 exhibitors from 47 countries and 120 aircraft on display. In 2013 the bi-annual show attracted 139,000 industry participants and over 176,000 attendees from the general public. The event’s focus is to be an international networking platform between companies in the aviation and defense industries.
