1. The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) – This amazingly comprehensive blog provides webinars, newsletters, manuals, forums, lists of workshops and much more. The association was created in 1953 by a group of aviation enthusiasts who set out to build planes of all types. The tradition continues. [twitter: @EAAupdate]

7. Flight Blogger The editor of this blog is no longer with the company, so they’ve frozen the comments section and won’t be adding any new content. The archived posts though are still a great resource! This blog provides in-depth analysis of every physical aspect of modern aircraft. The passion and precision of each model is discussed in depth, and expert knowledge of flight history is disseminated. Definitely a site for those with a firm knowledge base already established.  [twitter: @Flightglobal]

8. Ask a CFI – This ‘Ask a Flight Instructor’ blog was created by a flight instructor who wanted to have a centralized location for his students’ questions to be answered and available to all. Here you will find FAA handbooks, question archives and flight school research and evaluations. Perfect for the prospective and current student.  [twitter: @askacfi]

9. Flight International – Hailing itself as ‘The quirkier side of the aviation industry’, this site delivers informative and entertaining content about unique planes, pilots and aviation experiences. There is also a fun and interesting video blog.  [twitter: @Flightglobal]

10. Aviation Chatter – A fantastic place for private pilots, this site provides interviews, reviews of the latest tools and toys, advanced flying tips and ways to stay sharp. This site is beautiful and easy to navigate.  [twitter: @patflannigan]

Originally, Dan produced a digital magazine, but later, swapped it out for a blog.  Posts range from his personal flight training experiences, to aircraft analysis’, and spot on opinion pieces. Dan’s even bringing together the online aviation community through in-person events at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh! This is a must subscribe to type of blog. You’ll thank me later.  [twitter: @Av8rdan]
