In 2004, after more than 30 years in general aviation aircraft maintenance, Trace Aviation began specializing in KingAir landing gear. Since that time, the team at Trace Aviation has focused on acquiring and developing the specific knowledge, equipment, tooling and core inventory necessary to become the premier provider of exchange KingAir landing gear and associated component overhaul services.
Each member of the Trace Aviation Management team is a licensed pilot, with two holding Commercial, Instrument and Multi-engine Certifications and having extensive KingAir PIC experience.
Trace Aviation’s technicians are trained and experienced in all aspects of KingAir Maintenance, specifically in the landing gear components. This includes removal, installation and rigging as well as the actual overhaul and inspection of landing gear components. Most of the techs are A&P’s (3 are IA’s), with a combined 85 years of KingAir maintenance experience.
Trace Aviation moved to and remodeled an 18,000 Sq. Ft. facility at KJAN, Jackson International Airport in Jackson, MS in the summer of 2010. This new facility is designed specifically to provide an efficient home for our growing KingAir landing gear maintenance services. This location and allows Trace Aviation to complete every operation – landing gear removal, teardown and stripping, inspection, repair, final assembly, inspection and installation – all under one roof. It also allows the Trace Aviation team to continue to provide major airframe maintenance and phase inspections for their customers.
Trace Aviation insures consistent product quality and value by performing all activities in-house utilizing their own Certified NAS 410 and ASNT SNT TC1A Level II NDT Lab (Penetrant, Magnetic and Eddy Current) for component inspection and FAA approved processes for repairs.
Whether you are an owner, operator or maintenance facility looking to exchange, overhaul or repair your KingAir landing gear, Trace Aviation is a great resource.
