Wheels Up 35th King Air Is Pink – Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

Wheels Up had a special ceremony to commemorate its 35th Beechcraft King Air delivered today of the 105 they’ve ordered. The King Air 350i sports a unique pink paint scheme that will support the Dublin Breast Center at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Kenny Dichter, Wheels Up founder and CEO, told several hundred Textron Aviation Beechcraft employees at the ceremony Friday morning that the company hopes to raise more than $1 million with the airplane in the next year. This will come from Wheels Up monetary donations in addition to solicitations of its members and business partners. The plane’s deployment comes in time to promote Breast Cancer Awareness month this October.

“We want this to go every year to fight breast cancer and to fight cancer in general,” Dichter said.

Wheels Up has been teasing the plane on its Twitter account this week up until the reveal today using the tag #WheelsUpGoesPink. Wheels Up notes that further details are coming soon.
