Fusion Equipped Beechcraft King Air 350ER Makes Farnborough Airshow Debut

Textron Aviaton, along with Textron AirLand, Textron Systems, Bell Helicopter, TRU Simulation + Training and Textron Airborne Solutions will have a presence at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIAS) taking place at Hampshire Airport (England) this week from July 11th to the 15th.

“The Farnborough Airshow is a great venue to showcase our numerous commercial, defense, special mission and training solutions across our broad range of business platforms,” said Scott Donnelly, Textron’s Chairman and CEO. “For the first time ever, six of our businesses will be represented at an international show. Our full lineup will feature advanced rotorcraft, tactical turboprop and jet aircraft, precision weapons and unmanned aircraft; we look forward to meeting with customers and attendees from around the world who will experience our new and advanced products.”

Textron Aviation and Beechcraft Defense Company will take the opportunity to showcase their special mission and defense capabilities. Included aircraft will include a Fusion-equipped Beechcraft King Air 350ER, Cessna Grand Caravan EX and the Beechcraft T-6C.

The Beechcraft King Air 350ER (featuring the Pro Line Fusion avionics system) will be making its Farnborough International Airshow debut. The aircraft recently received certification from both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Alongside the King Air 350ER, Textron Aviation will display the Cessna Grand Caravan EX featuring the newly designed light-weight production seats and a stowable utility seat. Both the King Air 350ER and Grand Caravan EX on display will highlight a variety of special mission applications, including a surveillance console, medical stretcher and a variety of seating configurations.

Beechcraft Defense will show its miltary flight trainer, the Beechcraft T-6 Texan II. The T-6C aircraft on display features the state-of-the-art, all-digital, open-architecture glass cockpit offering the visibility necessary for completing complex missions. Beechcraft has delivered more than 900 T-6 trainers, which have amassed more than 2.9 million flight hours. Most recently, the company announced its plans to provide 10 Beechcraft T-6C Texan II military training aircraft to the U.K. Ministry of Defence’s Military Flying Training System to train the next generation of military pilots.

Farnborough International Airshow is a week-long event that combines a major trade exhibition for the aerospace and defense industries with a public airshow. The event is held in mid-July in even-numbered years at Farnborough Airport in Hampshire, England. The first four days (Monday to Thursday) are dedicated exclusively to trade, with the final three days open to the public.
