Description

The gust lock is a safety measure to stop aircraft control surfaces from moving when the aircraft is on the ground parked. The gust lock is fitted thru the flight controls inside the cockpit.  It is pinned to the control column behind the yoke and the rudder linkage in the floor. To insure the gust lock is removed prior to flight, there is a corked yoke that slides around the engine and prop control levers for added safety. We strongly suggest that a control lock that is broken in any way, be immediately replaced to insure that a pin is not inadvertently left installed during operation.

The 101-590016-13 gust lock is used on 1900D aircraft. It is the spares replacement for the 101-590016-7 gust lock.
